Influence of hydrocarbon industry lobbies on US energy policy (2017-2025)

This study analyzes the influence of hydrocarbon industry lobbies on US energy policy during the period 2017-2025, a period marked by the presidential transition between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, and Trump's return in 2025. It examines how these pressure groups, led by the American Petroleum Institute and large oil corporations, shaped the political agenda to favor the expansion of fossil fuel production and limit environmental regulations, opposing efforts to promote the transition to clean energy and combat climate change.
