The U.S. foreign policy toward East Asia: From Barack Obama to Donald Trump (2009-2019).

The Asia Pacific region is of great geostrategic importance to the United States. With the arrival of Obama to the White House in 2009, the Asian area has once again been positioned as the center of the projections of North American foreign policy to guarantee its hegemony and world supremacy, avoiding the emergence of new actors and ensuring its economic and political interests in the region. Although the Trump administration has followed certain political rules of its predecessor, Trump´s policy towards the Asian area tends to be complex, mainly due to the lack of coherent strategies.
