Imperialist strategy in 1898: the Intervening War

The year 1898 can be studied from the analysis based on the Social Theory of Karl Marx. In the context of the economic division of the world, the United States assumes the imperialist character of the monopolistic phase in which it finds itself. This is how it conceives the need to achieve its geo-economic-political hegemony in the Caribbean and the Pacific, which could no longer use any other way than war. The behavior of the ruling class and the work of the media monopolies in manipulating information about Cuba were the main factors that determined the intervention of the United States in the Spanish-Cuban war.
