Impact of internationalist medical collaboration on the foreign policy of the Cuban Revolution during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Cuban internationalist medical collaboration, since its beginnings, has been an example of diplomacy in health. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cuban doctors have reached more than 40 nations around the world following the principles of internationalism and solidarity, pillars on which the foreign policy of the Cuban Revolution is also based. Cuban medical aid has been the object of attacks and defamation by government officials of the United States and other servile countries with the aim of denigrating the altruistic image of the doctors and the Cuban Revolution. Nevertheless, it has received the recognition of the people, as well as the praise of a large part of the international community. In this sense, Cuba's bilateral relations with many countries of the world have been strengthened, and the basic principles of our foreign policy have been promoted by our physicians through cooperative ties.
