Cuba-China Relations. Overview of the period 1990-2023

Abstract

Cuba and China have been political and economic allies since the early years of the Cuban revolution, but since the 1990s they have experienced a gradual growth that has lasted until today. At present, relations between both countries cover multiple economic, political and social sectors to such an extent that they have become very important international allies. It should be noted that a look at the different areas of cooperation and the geopolitical factors that led to the rapprochement, that is of vital importance to understand the bilateral relations between the Asian Giant and the Greater Antilles.
