Uribismo was one of the most influential political forces in Colombia during the first two decades of the 21st century. It emerged as a response to a political and social context characterized by an economic, social and political crisis, with high levels of violence and a generalized perception of insecurity. With his governmental project, Uribe managed to win the 2002 presidential elections with an unprecedented percentage of votes in the country. After two terms in office, his popularity and some of the fundamental principles of his project were used by some of his successors in political campaigns to ensure his victory. This article aims to evaluate the influence of Uribism in Colombian politics during the period from 2002 to 2022.
